We would like to acknowledge the following people who competed at this weekends Grapplers Quest. We had a decent amount of competitors this time around and everyone made as very proud.

David Trapenese placed 2nd in the No-Gi Intermediate division. Dave as always showed a lot of heart and competed very well. For the short time he has been training he is doing extremely well and just keeps getting better. Whether he wins or loses he is one of the most humble people you can meet.

Scott Spencer did his first No-Gi Intermediate tournament. We think Scott may have caught the tournament bug, because ever since his first tournament he hasn't stop competing. Scott made us all proud and never gave up with any of his matches. Scott just keeps on improving and keeps on doing it with his great attitude toward the sport and life.

Steve Mazza competed for the first time ever. This was his first time competing in anything and we couldn't have ask for a better performance. He competed in the No-Gi Beginner division. He had his opponent defending the who time and even let go of an armbar because he's such a nice guy. Even then he doesn't stop looking out for people. He went through the who library of submissions and never let his opponent rest. We are all proud of him and hope to see him back on the tournament seen soon.

Greg Soto placed 1st in the No-Gi Intermediate Division. What can we say about Greg other then he is on a tear. He made his division look like they didn't even belong there. Greg is one of the most humble and hardest working individuals anyone can meet and we are glad he is apart of our team. We are all proud of his accomplishments

Greg Killian placed 4th in the No-Gi Advanced division and won his first match on points. He worked hard and is excited to get back into the tournament seen after not competing in about two years. Greg is one of our instructors and enough can't even be said about him. He has one of the strongest work ethics of anyone around and he is one of the nicest people you can meet. He is always willing to go out of his way to help someone whenever needed. His presence is always felt and always appreciated.

Tinh Tupey placed 4th in the No-Gi Advanced division. This is a very big accomplishment for Tinh, because he has only been training for about nine months. Tinh won his first match on points and had one of the most exciting matches of the day losing by an advantage point in a match that lasted over ten minutes. Tinh showed that he has tremendous heart and never gives up. Tinh doesn't know what the phrase 'give up' means. He trains very hard and shoots for the best competition he can find. These are characteristics in a person that many people look up to. We are all very proud of him.

Eddie Chou placed 3rd in the No-Gi Intermediate division and 2nd in the Blue Belt Division. Eddie is a newer addition to Jersey Shore BJJ and we are all happy to have him around. He is extremely respectful and he fits in really well here. We appreciate that in the short time he has been around that he not only represented our team, but he does it in a way that should be commended. We welcome Eddie to Team Jersey Shore BJJ/Team Edson Carvalho.

Once again we would like to congratulate everyone that represented Team Jersey Shore BJJ/Edson Carvalho.
